ULI NEXT Arizona recently held its fourth annual kickoff meeting. NEXT Chair Erik Marsh introduced the NEXT leadership and welcomed the group’s incoming members. NEXT is comprised of mid-career professionals seeking to foster relationships with industry peers in areas such as land use, planning, development, title, brokerage, government, engineering, construction and law. NEXT members are assigned to small groups that meet monthly to discuss industry issues, exchange ideas and provide professional feedback and support. According to Co-Vice Chair Mathew Avrhami, groups are designed to maximize a member’s exposure to the diverse backgrounds and industries represented by fellow NEXT members.
NEXT’s mission is to foster professional and personal growth, develop strong industry relationships, build personal brand, and promote knowledge-sharing through peer interaction for ULI’s emerging leaders. The Arizona initiative of NEXT started with nine members in 2014 and has since grown its membership to seventy. Applications for participation in the 2018-2019 group will be accepted in May-June 2018.
