Request for Proposal for City of Phoenix Firehouse
Natalia Chavez is a Development & Acquisitions Analyst at Dominium, the largest private affordable housing developer and third largest affordable housing owner in the nation. She is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, entitling, financing, and managing new development and acquisition opportunities throughout the Mountain West region from pre-development to post-construction. She holds a Master in City Planning from Boston University and a Master in Public Administration, with a public-private development focus, from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Outside of Dominium, Natalia contributes her time to various ULI Arizona committees. Additionally, she serves as a director on the board of Phoenix Union Foundation for Education.
Originally from Sacramento, California, she worked as a press aide in the California State Legislature and as a Research and Data Analyst at the state-based insurance marketplace. She decided to go back to graduate school and pivot to real estate development. When asked why she was a member of ULI, Natalia replied,
“I have been a member of ULI since I was a graduate student where I participated in ULI’s Pathways to Inclusion Initiative and ULI’s Randall Lewis Health Mentorship Program. I initially joined because I wanted to connect with industry leaders and transition into the real estate field. I continue to be a member because I enjoy connecting with others in the industry, getting involved in various committees, and attending ULI’s Fall and Spring meetings.”
Natalia’s mantra:
“Get involved. Get involved in committees, initiatives, and/or activities that you care about. You’ll feel more connected to your community and you never know who will meet in the process and the impact they’ll have in your life.”
