Senior Director, Homeless to Housed, ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing
William Zeh Herbig leads ULI’s Homeless to Housed (H2H) Initiative, launched in 2022. Additionally, he across ULI’s Centers and Initiatives and its network of National and District Councils on a variety of projects exploring the intersections of health, social equity and creative placemaking.
Prior to joining ULI in 2019, he co-led Kimley-Horn’s Atlanta-based Planning and Urban Design Studio. Other professional experience includes managing programs at the Markle Foundation, the Congress for the New Urbanism, the National Capital Planning Commission, and Atlanta’s Midtown Alliance. He also served as an elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner representing Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.
William holds a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Urban Studies from the Georgia State University Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, and studied architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Will is a graduate of ULI Washington’s Regional Land Use Leadership Institute and was named a 2010 Next City Vanguard. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
