Very rarely these days are projects on time and under budget but they do exist!!  Join us as we sit down with representatives from Valley Metro's Capital Development Department and Jacobs Civil Engineering Group to discuss the unique aspects and innovation that made the Northwest Light Rail Extension deliver on time and on budget. They will discuss some of the major challenges of expanding the light rail in high density and established areas, including construction of the connecting bridge over the I-17 near the former Metro Center Mall, managing various community concerns and working within a rising construction cost market. They will also share some of the key lessons learned and how they can be incorporated into future light rail expansion around the Valley.

Speakers include:  Michael Book, Senior Strategic Communications Specialist, HDR; Vanessa Quinto, Project Engineer, Jacobs Engineering; and Tony Santana, Interim Deputy Director, Design and Construction, Valley Metro's Capital Development Department.

We look forward to having you join us at the Tempe Transportation Center for this in-depth discussion and light breakfast.
